ASTM D882 covers the determination of tensile properties of plastics in the form of thin sheeting, including film less than 1.0 mm (0.04 in.) in thickness.
Tensile properties may vary with specimen thickness, method of preparation, speed of testing, type of grips used, and manner of measuring extension. Tensile properties determined by ASTM D882 testing are of value for the identification and characterization of materials for control and specification purposes, research and development, quality control and specification as well as engineering design.
Please email info@trl.com or call (304) 547-5800 for information regarding test procedures, results, specimen information, pricing or any other ASTM D882 questions you may have.
