ASTM C1161 testing covers the determination of flexural strength of advanced ceramic materials in either three-point or four-point loading. Touchstone has both semi-articulating and fully articulating three-point and four-point fixtures.
Properties determined by this test method are most commonly used for material development, quality control, characterization and design data purposes. This test method is intended to be used with ceramics which have a strength greater than 50 MPa.
Please email info@trl.com or call (304) 547-5800 for information regarding any ASTM C1161 questions you may have.
