ASTM D4476 is used to measure the flexural properties of fiber-reinforced pultruded plastic rods. The specimen used is a rod with a semi-circular cross section, molded or cut from lengths of pultruded rods.
Flexural properties determined by this test method are most commonly used for quality control and specification purposes. Some of the parameters that can cause variation in flexural properties are: temperature, atmospheric conditions, specimen depth, and differences in rate of straining.
Touchstone has experience in the techniques necessary to achieve proper results. Improper loading will generally result in lower than expected values.
Please email info@trl.com or call (304) 547-5800 for information regarding test procedures, results, specimen information, pricing or any other ASTM D4476 questions you may have.
