This method is used for determining the shear strength and shear modulus of rigid cellular plastics.
The standard recommends that the specimen be 250 mm in length, 50 mm in width, and 25 mm in thickness with a recommended set of five specimens.
A shear stress is applied to a test specimen of defined shape by means of metal supports bonded to the specimen. The shear strength, shear modulus and mode of failure will be reported.
Please email info@trl.com or call (304) 547-5800 for information regarding test procedures, results, specimen information, pricing or any other ISO 1922 questions you may have.
