Paint and Coating Chemistry Testing — Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) Tester

#The Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer (I.C.P.) can be used to characterize the inorganic portion of paint chemistry. Typical applications include the testing of pearlescent pigments, i.e.; TiO2 or ferric oxide, mica and lead-based constiutents. Analysis of various solid film lubricant additives can also be analyzed.

ICP can also be used to analyze various types of metallic coatings on metal substrates, particularly very thin coatings such as chromium, nickel, cadmium, etc.

With Touchstone’s Gas Chromatograph (GC) and Infrared Red Spectrometer (IR), the organic portion of paints can be analyzed.
