ISO 14125 (Method B) testing measures force, center span displacement and strain in four-point bending. This test method covers the determination of unreinforced and reinforced plastics, including high-modulus composites and electrical insulating materials in the form of rectangular bars molded directly or cut from sheets, plates or molded shapes. Touchstone is also able to perform eh technically equivalent standard ASTM D6272 – Standard Test Method for Flexural Properties Testing of Unreinforced and Reinforced Plastics by Four-Point Bending
After testing and analyzing the data, maximum strain in outer fibers of the specimen, flexural strength, tangent modulus of elasticity in bending, flexural yield strength, flexural offset yield strength and stress at any given strain up to 5% will be reported. Flexural properties determined by this test method are most commonly used for quality control and specification purposes.
Please email info@trl.com or call (304) 547-5800 for information regarding test procedures, results, specimen information, pricing or any other ISO 14125 questions you may have.
